Staying Free, Even When Life Gets Hard

Freedom Isn't a Destination, It's a Life Long Dedication Good morning  , This month, we’ve explored what it really means to be free—not just in a surface-level, celebratory kind of way, but in a deep, intentional, everyday sense. Because freedom isn’t something we arrive at once and for all. It’s something we practice. Especially when life gets heavy. Especially when the world tries to pull us back into old patterns or push us into boxes we’ve outgrown. Freedom is a choice we keep coming back to—again and again. Here’s What We Practiced Together This Month: Awareness  – Noticing the places in your life where you feel stuck, unsatisfied, or disconnected from yourself Naming Barriers  – Identifying internal blocks like perfectionism, fear, and survival mode, as well as external pressures from systems and social identities Small Acts of Liberation  – Reclaiming your power through rest, boundaries, intuition, values-based choices, and moments of self-compassion Li...

My Journey to Freedom

My Consistent Pursuit of Freedom Hello  , Throughout this month, we’ve been exploring freedom—not just in theory, but in practice. We’ve talked about the ways we can lose our sense of self, the barriers that keep us stuck, and the small steps we can take to begin breaking free. This week, I want to offer something a little more personal. Because  freedom isn’t just something I talk about in my work—it’s something I’ve had to fight for in my own life. For much of my life, I didn’t fully feel free. I’ve always existed a bit outside the mold—as a biracial, disabled, polyamorous, and pansexual person, there have been layers of identity that the world hasn’t always known how to hold. Add to that a lifetime of moving from state to state, adapting, adjusting, and navigating spaces where I often felt like I had to leave parts of myself at the door just to belong… and you can start to understand why freedom, for me, hasn’t always come easily or naturally. There’s been pressure t...

How to Start Reclaiming Your Freedom

Image
How to Reclaim Your Freedom Good morning  , Freedom doesn’t always begin with big, dramatic changes. Often, it starts quietly with a small, intentional choice to honor yourself. This week, we’re exploring the everyday actions that help you  reclaim your voice, your energy, and your inner peace.  Because  freedom is a practice.  And it’s made up of moments like these: Small Acts of Self-Connection That Set You Free Try these small acts of radical self-connection to help you reclaim your freedom. Saying “no” when something doesn’t align Letting yourself rest—without having to earn it Speaking a truth you usually swallow Choosing what  you  want instead of what’s expected Setting a boundary, even when it feels uncomfortable Making values-based decisions (not fear-based ones) Letting go of perfectionism in favor of self-compassion Taking a break when you’re overwhelmed Asking yourself,  “What do I need right now?” —and actually listening E...

What's Blocking Your Freedom?

Identifying Barriers to Your Freedom Hello  , Last week, we explored the idea that  freedom isn’t always what it seems . Many of us feel stuck or unfulfilled not because we’re unmotivated, disorganized, or indecisive, but sometimes because there’s something standing in the way—something that makes moving forward feel unsafe, impossible, or overwhelming. Barriers to freedom come in many forms.  Some are quiet and internal. Others are loud, systemic, and deeply rooted in the world around us. Let’s Talk About Barriers Barriers to freedom can come from  within —the internal rules and beliefs we carry, like: “I have to be perfect.” “I don’t want to disappoint anyone.” “I’m not good enough to try.” “I can’t slow down—I have too much to prove.” But barriers can also come from  outside of us —from systems, expectations, and judgments that were never designed with our liberation in mind. The Weight of the World The truth is,  not everyone has the same access ...
